Their LSDs will last and perform well but usually require being disassembled, cleaned, and installed with the proper arrangement of the belleville washers since they usually aren't in the correct order for maximum pressure before installing.

They've been making cheap parts for imports for years and I've dealt with their parts quite a bit.

The headers are going to be hit or miss, but no worse than a pacesetter.

The limited slip differential is built nearly identical to a Quaife, but are usually assembled slightly incorrectly. The lubricant also tends to be contaminated with machining debris during assembly. Both are easy fixes and usually worth the money imo.

OBX-R isn't a bad brand at all really. Just so you know, they aren't an "ebay only" brand, as they have a website (www.obxracingsports.com). A car in my car club has an OBX-R intake manifold on his '97 Eclipse, and its a pretty trick piece. btw their website is down for contruction at the moment.

Anywho, the LSD.........I find that kinda sketchy as they mentioned an Alero with the other cars, and Aleros didnt even come in a 5-speed, lol.\

As for the header though, it looks sick! Best looking NON-OVERKILL header out there for our 2.4's i'd say. I see lots of guys running headers w/ huge 3" collectors on their 2.4s, and they are losing so much useable torque by doing so. I have the CA header with a 2.25" collector, and it works great. I'd love to have a 2.5" collectors to match up with my 2.5" downpipe and 2.5" cat-back though. I'm gonna research this header some more and find out what size the collector is. This may replace my CA header if its what im looking for....

i know obx isnt an ebay company, also, alero's did come in 5spd, so did the grand am 99+

it is a common misconception that those cars did not have a manual tranny, part of this is true however, it was the v6 motors that came in only automatic, there was an option of the 2.2litre motors to have a 5spd manual transmission

Alero's came in 4cyl versions!?! Hm, never knew that or seen one in person I guess.

I stand corrected.

OBX is china made items, that is not the best quality.

Pacesetter is a better value for the little difference in price get Pacesetter.

We dont carry OBX due to the poor quality in past years.

I have an OBX 4-2-1 Header on my 96 Cav w/ 2.2L

was not very impressed with the gains, also made the car sound like complete ASS.

now i have a 4ft Resonator, and it sounds Ok.... Would not reccomend OBX to anyone....
