ECOTECs use High Impedence Injectors.

We all can share the same injectors by the way.

Not quite. There can be differences in the installed height dimension on certain Ecotecs, which affects the fuel rail mounting i.e. some (newer) use the longer 68mm (seal to seal) Multec 2 injectors and others use the shorter (58mm) Siemens or Rochester injectors
It's not too bad to install the longer dimensions on a car originally with the shorter injectors as there is a precisely machined pair of spacers to raise the rail to the correct height. Much harder to go the other way though...
So anything can be made to fit... given the right fuel rail

Are you sure the 2.2L and 2.4L are 24lbs injectors?

Even if thats true I don't think they are the same. Heres what it says on Chevys website under fuel delivery:

2.2L: Sequential injection with returnless fuel delivery system, and electronic throttle control

2.4L:Sequential multi-port fuel injection with high-flow injectors and electronic throttle control

Possibly but also remember it could be a "marketing tool" but honestly, I doubt GM would put bigger injectors, even with slighly higher compression. You would be suprised how much 24 lb injectors can flow...heck...when I was having O2 sensor issues, if I didn't have my SAFC it would have completely flooded my motor out (wideband was reading 9.6 till I turned the fuel down).
