GMPP mod only HP gain????

I have searched and found some info but still am inclined to ask. I know this has been asked but maybe not like this, so dont lock me please. Here goes........ I have my 2.4 a month now and would like to consider some mods. After hours of reading these forums, I am scared to death of aftermarket mods in regards to my warranty. I have carefully decided that I am going to get the GMPP intake, catbback and honed manifold. My question is how much HP is this going to net me? The 07 is rated 173hp at the crank and I am guessing these three mods combined together will gain me about 20hp or so. Am I right in assuming these numbers? If so, will that put me just a notch below a stock SS/SC?

i'd say more like 10ish...

the 2.4 is pretty efficent at making power... i think for all that money, a cam job would be more powerful, but not good for warranty work.

all in all, you'll feel it, but it's not gonna keep you with the SCs... yet.

^^^ thanks........ I am def getting the intake and exhuast. If the total gain of all three is minimal then I would say no to the manifold..

A couple of the guys with just intake had an ecm tune (i think westers or vector) got more torque, hp better shift pints and higher rev limitater, check through the 2.4 section. you can do the tune and as you add more mods you can update

thanks again, Mike. You have answered many of my questions. I am set on just getting GM parts cuz I want to retain my warranty. I live in the sticks and only have one dealer within a decent range. I want no arguements. I am doing all three, and no tune. I do not plan on racing or anything. I am 41 and miss my 70 chevelle SS a bunch (check gallery). I plan on modding the **** outta this thang when my warranty expires. I am going to do the intake, catback and manifold in that order. So far I have the GM pedals, rubber mats and vent shades.

So many people always ask what hp gains or what 1/4 times you will get witht his why dont you guys just make a sticky for example

2.4L with intake (dyno's before and after or 1/4 b4 and after)=
2.4L with cat back and headers (dyno's before and after or 1/4 mile b4 n after)=
etc..........
I mean just trying to help cause it seems everyone wants to know once they buy the car.
and stock 2.2L can compete with stock neon, etc..........
