GMPP Performance Exhaust

Question. Is the performance exhaust from GM a bolt on application or is any welding needed? I want to know in advance before I start this small project.

GMPP smallest part is only 2.25" you might be better to look into Magnaflow (about the same price, but it is a full 2.5" if you get the part number 16619)

The performance exhaust from GMPP isnt 2.5" all around? That defeats the purpose of getting a "Performance" part if it still has a restriction like that. Correct me if im wrong

It's personal opinion, but other aftermarket sources have way better products for the same if not a better price and better performance if thats what you are looking for.

No it is 2.5" in SOME spots but not all. The smallest diameter in the GMPP exhaust is 2.25"

Magnaflow is 2.5" all the way!

With the gmpp catback gm has dyno tested on cobalts and gained 12whp gm dyno proven and still keep your warrenty.

If I can get less restriction from different exhaust and keep that warrenty then ill stay clear from GMPP. I looked at the Hahn Racecraft 3" and it caught my eye. Should a non-sc/tc stick with 2.5"?

yea the gmpp is easy to install but to remove the old exhaust your gonna have to cut the pipe where it bends over the rear support. Ive loved mine since i got it a year ago.
