Hahn RaceCraft 2.4 Cobalt TurboSystem
it depends i think what they want to do. somehow theyll think of it. but if they do do something like finance or or something then theyll actually make more then what the kit costs for intrest and stuff.
ryan. yeah it is a headache how would you repo a turbo kit let alone find where it is. its like repoing a sandwhich.

You'll be pleased to learn that we've already pushed the stock 2.4 to well over 400 engine HP in our Solstice program, and had no issues. Does this mean we are advocating 450 HP stock 2.4's? Not really...the intention of this 'search for the limit' is more about demonstrating that if the engine will withstand 450 HP, it should be very durable and long-lived at the 300 or so HP that the majority of our prospective customers will operate at.
LE5 has a number of 'gifts' from GM. I began dismantling, studying and comparing them over a year ago, and this is one fine engine internally! Some of the notable features:
It's not a reach to say that the LE5 is very similar in internal features to the LSJ, just 20% bigger! 20% is a bunch...in V8 parlance, it's equivalent to the difference between a 350 and a 427!

- Forged connecting rods
- Friction coated pistons w/internal oilcooling passages
- Oil sprayers below pistons to move oil into the oilcooling passages
- Floating wrist pins with bushed rod small ends
- Tapered rod small ends and piston pin bosses for additional wrist pin support

Do you have any shops in Canada that you refer your customers to for installs? Also what would be a resonable limit of this package with stage kits compared to the stage kits for the 20g turbo setup (solstice)? Can the turbo be upgraded to the 20g or do you have to change the system of plumbing? If the 20g system is completly different will it be offered as a kit that I could purchase in the next8-12 months?

personally i like the sound of a BOV....i dont hear it often around here....it kinda sucks that the sound isnt there on this system....but if sacraficing sound for reliable performance is what it takes to get a working kit...then im all for it....i might buy turbo badges...and then maybe i wont..
Actually they have not answered all of these before.I have read the entire tread several times thanks

To get a referral on a dealer or installer in your area, your best bet is to email wholesale@turbosystem.com. 'Canada' being a fairly large region, be sure to give more specific info when you email your request. The helpful folks there will let you know your options!
Rest assured, there's no need for "WTF's" where our knowledge of 20G is concerned.
If you are one of the group of ten initial orders required for us to put the manual-only 20G turbosystem in production, then by all means...get your name on the list! sales@turbosystem.com is where to go to do this. Once ten orders are in hand, we will set a timeline, take deposits, and pull the production trigger!
The air intake on our current GT2860R 2.4 turbosystem is in the right fenderwell. A large filter resides there, in the same location as the stock air intake.
No, we can't sell just one 20G system...the economics of production tooling and related tasks required to bring a prototype turbosystem to full production prevent us from being able to provide 'onesies'.
Our decision to offer a system that fits both the automatic and manual cars we made for strictly business reasons...the automatic cars outnumber the manual cars by a considerable margin, and offering a 'manual only' system would have limited our sales potential considerably. But we appreciate your interest in the 20G setup for manual cars, and if you and nine of your closest 2.4 manual friends step up, it will become a reality!
At moderate boost levels of 10 PSI or less, not much. The Super 20G is aimed more at those who will build modified engines with and run higher boost.
Put another way, the Super 20G can support up to 475 HP, the GT2860R up to 350HP.

ok... so after reading until my eyes turned bloodshot, possibly 3 minutes ago, i still havnt seen the answer i was looking for. so the reflash you guys will be doing is a "locked tune" as said earlier. this wouldnt interfere with upping the boost would it? i assume not as if we had a TBC hooked up we could use the Boostfueler to add the fuel needed to up the boost. is this correct?

this is great news... i might purchase a 2.4 just for this purpose instead of an Evo but we will see. they say they dont know if an upgrade turbo is available right? i might want to do that later
yeh thats true. i would eventually want to boost more. i just watched a video of the AMS Evo running its fastest time of 8.75 at 166 in the 1/4. their DD runs 9's. can you imagine the 2.4's runnin that?
