Can't wait for the release of this kit. very excited. hopefully gonna be a turbo'd pursuit running around alberta in the next couple months. I have a feeling that aftermarket motor mounts would be almost a must need on a manual car?? my factory exhaust seperated from hard shifting, lol. oops...

got outta court the other day wasnt to bad i only have to pay 386 bucks and have good behavior for 2 years. so i just have to bust ass at work to get some more money to pay for the ticket then a few other things b4 surgery whew i dont know to much crap i guess. well this turbo thing is getting lots of attention. i still think a sc on a le5 engine would be an interesting build. even though it costs alot price is no option. just i want to see how it would come out and how it would run with a stage 2.

if you can shift hard and fast with out grinding when your racing why not do it??? makes sense to me. more time putting power down.

quoting the last guy i raced:

rx-7 guy: you have an auto....
Me: nope, 5 speed
rx-7 guy: sure didnt look like it
Me: learn how to shift...lol
he wasnt to impressed

yeah my 2.4 shifts kinda fast. but 2nd would grind. and when i downshift i get this grinding sometimes in 3rd about 43 mph. and this clicking noise coming from the wheels or axles or something every gear does it downshifting only when itl rev up to about 4k or so downshifting i dont know what it is doesnt sound good. but no problems yet. sounds like a piece of metal clicking like an axle clickin into gear or something i dont know.

ok well when your flying down that drag strip at about 95 miles and hour....or street if your an unsafe *******......and you shift so hard that either your motor falls out or your shifter snaps off.......then come tell me "if you can shift hard and fast with out grinding when your racing why not do it???" again....u can shift properly without shifting so hard your exhaust falls off....and if your shifting that hard without grinding chances are you are most definately hurting something....just wait till you hear a nice loud SNAP come from your tranny

mines been doing it since new, its the shifter tower moving the selector along the shifter rods i think. its from in the tranny and thats the only thing i can pin point. cause if it was your gears making that noise there would be some serious issues arising.

Wheel hop probably killed your mounts ("I race on the track"). I flat foot shift (i.e., no lift) and I never separated my exhaust. Your mounts are probably torn from wheel hop. I'd get under it and inspect.

car doesnt wheel hop, running 225's wont even burn them up anymore, all traction. its maybe done wheel hop once or twice. i just honestly think new motor mounts would be a good idea if your putting down that much more torque to the wheel.

I could send mine to smoke at 1500 rpm. My car is a spin monster. Even a few bad wheel hop moments will tear these tissue paper mounts. Chances are the new mounts will be needed but it VIBRATES the whole car!

Sorry if this has been asked...
Will this fit with a MRZ strut bar installed? it almost doesn't look like it from the pics.
