How hard is it to pull just the motor from the cobalt sports?

How hard is it to pull just the motor from the cobalt sports?
Timing chain broke and know i have a hole in my oil pan.. going to do a full rebuild and put some forged internals. do i pull the engine or do i remove the head in the engine bay? new to seriouse motor stuff lol the most i have done so far is S/c and such. LEt me know

On the automatics, engine will come right up and out as long as you remove the crank pulley first, theres about an inch of clearance against the frame rail. Taking the head off before hand can make life easier. You will require an assortment of specialty sockets though. Torx, reverse torx are two that i can think of off hand. Torque angle meter is essential for rebuilding.
I posted this pic for the nay sayers last year lol I will warn you though, manual transmissions are a different story because of the clutch.

The car was assembled by lowering the body onto the cradle, so that is the simplest way to remove the engine.
But first thing I'd do if i were you is drop the oil pan to see what's really going on.
