How to push more boost, and why.
With the price difference from 93 to e85 and the amount of miles/mileage I'd get I was doing some math and figured I'd spend 100-200 more a year with e85. or something like that. depends on avg mileage and stuff lol
also depends on the roads and stuff. iirc where you live chevygirl it was mostly flat roads. Where I live(I get on expressway a good amount) theres lots of underpasses and that makes my mpg drop a lot. Also do a lot of city driving. I also get 19-22 mpg but I mess around a lot. aka random wot just to hear whine
I'm sure if I take a roadtrip on flat roads I wouldn't have a problem getting 23-25 mpg

i gladly spend the extra cash on e85, my car is safe, very safe and I street 24 psi (430whp) and I can run the crap out of it in 100 degree weather. Engine doesnt so much as blip on the KR.
Yep! before E I would see a little KR once in a while. Now I never see any and we also get 100+ degree weather daily lol. I still need to finish tuning my car (haven't had hpt cuz I lent it to a friend and got some random leak cuz of boost gauge) but car still feels better than it did with 93

this is turning into the I HEART E thread, lol. If you had told me a year ago I would be on E and daily driving it I would have said you were nuts. I moved to a city that has E everywhere so I figured I would try it to see how great this stuff is. Well needless to say the stuff is the fuel of choice for boost. It runs stupid cold, doesnt detonate, and even with a crap tune still is reliable to a point (disclaimer dont be stupid without a tune). Anyway I was getting into the 13 afrs that would normally trash a motor and it was still running cool without knock. The stuff is just unreal...
Also....I like the smell
oh yeah! i am catless and its not near as horrible smelling or acrid as gasoline. It actually reminds me of burnt grass clippings. LOL
it kinda reminds me of jesus with a tuxedo tshirt. cause it says I wanna be formal, but im here to party too.
lol but yes i'm sure anybody that tries E will love it. I can't imagine not using it anymore -_-
also still wondering why I'm on 15 lbs when smaller pulleys run less boost

for what.....lol
I was asking how come guys on 2.8 pulleys are running like 12 lbs or something and right now with a 2.9 I am running 15 lbs. Shouldn't they be higher than me? Or were they running ported setups?

oh i thought you were saying you wanted to go higher in boost, thought that was a typo. You could run a smaller pulley if you wanted to on E is what I was saying.
nah I was asking why they had smaller boost numbers. I'm not going to drop a pulley size for a while...or prolly never lol. Just gonna go tvs or turbo next when I start tearing into the engine/trans.
O yeah had that stuff all over the place and wasn't near as bad as reg gas dude I can't wait to be on e85 and get these cooling mods done lol

Your location could have an effect on boost, or you have more of a restriction on intake/exhaust side of your system...what are your IATs post blower? What's your exhaust setup.
My exh is badmab shorty, 3" ZZP catted DP, and 3" catback.
With the 3.15" TVS pulley I dynod 286/274 on a mustang dyno.
I talked to my tuner the other night, and we are gonna try to get a start on retune early-mid next week. So hopefully by the end the month, I'll be able to have some solid numbers with a stock lower end 2.4L with a 2.6" TVS pulley.

Haven't replied in a while. I don't plan on going turbo just yet. I'm getting an SC kit next month sometime and was just curious on boost numbers.
Starting out with a 3.34" (stock?) Pulley on an M62.
