I'm having second thoughts about my 2.4

Was it a new, 0 mile car? What options did you get? 5sp or auto?
I paid $17,500 (cash) including DOC - everything but tax and registration - for my 2.4l auto w/pioneer sound. I had to drive over 100 miles to to get what I thought was a good deal.
What dealer did you buy your car from?
I'm thinking of getting an Impala SS, and Florida is not that far away.
Thanks for your help.

i got it from ferman in tampa. it's pretty much as bare as a 2.4 comes, the only option is the MP3. i would have gotten the XM, but i wanted to skip all the heavier things... leather, sun roof, sub, etc. i have some plans for this car that weight does not play nice with.
my only point was, the best price i was getting on an SC was 20ish... which was a lot more than what i paid. i think for the coin i put out, i've got a pretty fast cool car.

Are you planning on F/I, NO2 or are you thinking of going all motor?
Speaking of weight savings, check out my rear seat/deck mod in my sig.
yOu know what. I have an SS/SC and I wish I had the G85 package. It just comes down to this. Sometimes we just want more. and then we get a new girlfriend. sometimes that costs money. well cars are no different. either settle, trade, or build it up. I have the SS/SC and plan on building up to beyond 400 HP, I think anyways. I change my mind and you know what so will you. just remember you live only once. think of what you want and whether you can get there, and how you will get there. think hard about it. take a test drive in a SS/sc. think more. I can tell you the handling can be achieved with Eibach sportlines. the rest is a piece of cake. build the motor. most of all have fun.

Ideally, i want a high 13 second 2.4 that is using almost all GM parts... there is something nice about being able to walk into a chev dealer with a part number and being like "one of these, my good man"

Everyone has specific things they are looking for in a car. It took me 1.5 years before I decided on the SS S/C. It was the only car out that had everything I wanted. The nice thing about the cobalt line is that it accomadates alot of people looking for a new vehicle.

all depends on how much boost you run. Im not sure how much HP the 2.4 and 2.0L trannys can hold. We'll have to ask VIC RED SS.
