if you have to ask its going to be difficult.

you need all the wiring and ecm/tcm/pcm to make it easier

and no the trans will not bolt up (if I recall)

buy motor for "damn good price" -> sell motor for more than you bought it for -> save up on a turbo kit for your 2.4, done.

The trans won't bolt up at all. The motor would physically fit but you'd need to replace almost every sensor in the car to make it even possible.

tranmission is different
wiring harness and sensors are different
ecm/bcm is different
axles, hubs are different

not to mention all the additional supercharging parts required, like tuning, heat exchanger, rad hose, windshield washer bottle, intake, etc

Why not just pull the parts off, and SC the 2.4? Would be alot less parts, and headache

Im not trying to offend, all Im saying is if you have to ask then you most likely dont have the know how and it will be very difiuclt for you, in other words I assume you have no idea what your doing.

There is a guy here in Houston that succesfully swapped a lnf into a lsj, but that was a full transplant, dropped the cradle swapped it in and replaced everything from the trunk to the bumper, he had a donor car and thats basically what you need, every single part. You can attempt to find the rest, but I willing to bet if you sell it for profit thats a nice start on a 2.4 boost build.

Good luck.

Why? Keep the VVT, more power potential. The VVT motors have a different design to the head gasket and extra oil passages going to the head that would have to be blocked to run a non VVT head anyway. Ported 2.4 head with upgraded springs and maybe some turbo cams would be the best way to go for sure. There's nothing special about a stock 2.0 head anyway.

Nope, any Ecotec varriant head gasket will work for using a 2.4LE5 bottom end with any combination of heads.

There are a few people running a 2.4 bottom end with a 2.2 head with either the stock LE5 head gasket or a 89mm Cometic 2.2 head gasket.

Why a 2.2 head?

These swaps where in J-Bodies, which came with a 2.2.

Which is the reason for the 2.2 head on the 2.4 block.

No cam Phasersr running down the side and more cam options vvt is good but if u wanna make big power I'd go 2.2 or 2.0 head cus at some point ur gonna need a better cam and zzp is really the only option or a custom grind but have fun degreeing / timing a cam correctly that hasn't had extensive r&d
