Manual trannys and snow

I've never driven stick before and I was just curious how well Manual Trannys do in the snow? If you get stuck how hard is it to get out? I wanted my next car to be manual if try it and like it, but I live in Ohio and the snow/freezing rain here can be ridiculious.

its easier to get out of snow only if you know how to

not as hard on the car either to rock it

I find manuals so much easier to get unstuck with. They rock so easily.

never once had my manual stuck in the snow this year, a good set of agressive snow tires are always a good idea.

the tranny and you should be fine, its tires that will be the greatest concern, the p6 rubber isn't exactly winter tread.
