I was considering a drop-in...but I'd rather get a full intake...

My 3.8 Monte SS gets better mileage than my 2.4 Cobalt SS.

I get 25mpg on average with my 2.0 in the Redline. Actually I take a new way to work and it's back roads about 85% then 15% stop and go averaging 55-60mph....I just got 100.1 miles to the first 1/4 tank!!!!! Still 3/4 of the tank to go. The best MPG i have gotten was 37mpg on my trip moving to AZ from Ohio, almost every tank I got 34mpg 98% freeway except for New Mexico darn hills took me to 28mpg.

Wrong.

8.5L in the city is very good and beats Transports canadas estimates.

8.5L per 100km = 33 CDN MPG (thats just over 26 mpg for the Yank gallon)

My last tank I got 8.45L per 100km city driving. But I did have to take it really easy.

Last highway trip going ~65 the whole time, I averaged just over 34 mpg. I consider that pretty damn good for a 2.0L SC cobalt.

I have the 2.0sc and am getting on average 24~26mpg depending on how I drive since my last fill. Im not sure how the computer is on the other models but with mine I reset both trip B, ECON mode and MPH mode each time I fill up. this gives me in my opinion a more accurate report on how im driving from fill to fill.

I am getting about 31mpg. My 2.4L is a 5spd and I use 87 octane. I have no city driving though. The average speed shows 45 mph and I have 4000 miles on it.

I'm getting 21-22 MPG City and 35-37 Hwy with my 5spd 2.4L. Depending on driving style these number have gone up and down, but these are my "normal" driving numbers. I have compared the factory MPG guage against measured MPG (miles driven/gas burned) and the guage seems to be right on.

You're right -- Chevy's website lists the following:

2.2L DOHC ECOTEC
5-speed manual transmission 25/34
4-speed automatic transmission 24/32

2.4L High-Output DOHC ECOTEC
5-speed manual transmission 25/34
4-speed automatic transmission 24/32

2.0L Supercharged DOHC ECOTEC
5-speed manual transmission 23/29

For fuel it says:

Recommended unleaded fuel
2.2L 87 octane
2.4L not yet published
2.0L 91+ octane*
*Cobalt SS Supercharged will operate with 87 octane unleaded fuel. However, a power loss will be noticeably felt by the driver.

( to avro206 for mentioning tdiclub.com That's my home for my Golf TDI--I average 42mpg or 600 miles per tank)
