Pacesetter header + stock catback?

Hi guys,
I just bought a pacesetter header + 3" to 2.5" catless dp for REALLY cheap.

Is it a good idea to keep the stock exhaust with this header? Will it break the stock muffler after a few weeks?
I plan on putting a cat on it later...

Thx

Yea I have a 3" dp to match with the header that bolts to a 2.5" catback.

I read somewhere it could break the muffler with the extra heat and flow...?

I was running zzp turbo kit on stock catback..... the only thing i broke(cracked) was the exhaust manifold, and that was because it wasn't a cast manifold.....

So yea I installed the header + dp 2 days ago and OMG... I am now a raspy piece of ****! It sounds like an old civic.
So yea, maybe I just have a leak? I checked everywhere and it seems good to me. While cruising, sound is ok and I like it.. but at WOT it's horrible!
Adding a cat would solve my problem?

Thx

couldve seen this coming. Install a STOCK cat not a high flow to reduce rasp, if that doesnt do it get smallest resonator possible and add it by the downpipe.

Believe me in a 2.2/2.4 you can barely feel a different with and without a cat. If you do its very high in the rpm range only.

ive taken the cat off several 4/6 cyl NA cars it was NEVER EVER EVER worth it! Only car that sounded ok was a g35 with resonated test pipes.
