If you guys are planning on going... make sure to take some weight saving measures. At the very least you should ditch your jack and spare... that's like 30 pounds. Run a 1/2 tank of gas or less... unload all your CD's and other crap you keep in the car. You could go as far as removing your passenger and rear seats. I didn't do all that... but I did remove my rear headrests.. saved 2 pounds maybe... hey, every little bit helps!
Oh... and take off your engine cover too. Then engine will run 5 degrees cooler.
If you're running stock tires burn them for just a second or two to warm them... don't do any big burns b/c overheating the tires is just as bad as leaving them cold.
