Trifecta Tune!!
So I got my Trifecta Tune today. I gotta say it was a MAJOR improvement!! And Vince is a VERY helpful guy. Now onto my story of the trials i went through lol.
To start, I checked my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT last week and of course I was throwing the code for having no cat. But there was another code. It was something like Mass Air Circuit Bank 1 Low. I'm not 100% sure and I didn't write it down =\.
Anyway, my Trifecta Tune came in today. I went to my local Checker Auto Parts store because thats where a lot of my friends work, I used to work there, and its the tuner hang out. I decided to install my tune in the parking lot. I plugged it in and let it tune my car. Then I went to start my car and it would start up but instead of going to idle it just SHUT OFF! TWICE!
I panicked and called Vince right away. He advised me to flash it to stock first(because the tool he provides has 2 options flash to stock or flash the tune he sends). I put it back to stock and it started THANKFULLY!! Vince told me to drive it home and try it again there. So I drove home...but everytime I put the car into neutral the RPMs would DROP! A normal car goes to idle. My car was going to about 500 or less and almost turning off. My car has done it before, but NEVER that LOW and NEVER that CONSISTENT!! So I made it home and called Vince.
After I told him about the Mass Air Circuit code, he told me that his tune changes the stock feuling system to one that uses the MAF. However, because my car only has bolt-ons he said I can use a different tune that uses the stock feuling system instead of the MAF.
He e-mailed me the new tune within 10 minutes and I installed it. The car started!!! I took her out for a test drive. WAY more power!! It was awesome!! However...I still have the idle problem. I talked to Vince and he said m MAF might be dirty or messed up and sending incorrect readings to my ECU and that could be causing the idle problem. He also said that because my car used to do it before but less frequently, it may take some drive time for my car to get used to it the way it was before. He said it was probably less frequent and extreme before because my ECU had accommodated for it, but because my ECU was reset with the tune it needs to re-learn that. He also said that if need be, there are ways he can tune around it to fix it.
All in all, GREAT PRODUCT, NOTHING was wrong with it(just stuff wrong with my car lol), and Vince has been VERY helpful.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do about my MAF though?

No you still use regular fuel. The programmer also has a function on it that you can record your cars performnce fom a dead stop to 80 or higher at wide open throttle. Then you can email it to him so he can review it to see if he can get anymore power out for you...I have this tune and I love it and the customer service from Vince i awsome...
