Wish I can get someone good with hpt to tune my car for when I go E85. It be nice to have someone there in person to do the tune.

if we get on Vince's ass in 6 months we can get an end-user tuning program. get the word out if you're interested. we all know he has the software and he is selling the unlimited suite so we can get this out of him if he see's how serious you guys are about getting this done. hell, it would free up his time not worrying about logging and tuning all of our cars. post up if you're really real about this tuning option. he said he can do it in 6 months, let's give him a real reason to.

and there are a select few of us that can't use HPT or LS2edit in which case this would be a godsend.

I am wondering how user friendly the system would be.

Wouldn't you want to put them in first to see if that solves the problem in case they don't and you add meth and spend even more time figuring out what is going on?

lol u missed the sentence right before that where i said i dropped down to 10 psi and theres no blowout. i ran it hard 5 or 6 times while datalogging and didnt experience anything.car actually seems faster than it was on 12 psi, most likely because there's no issues. my afr is much better too. i just think the gap is too high for 12 psi but i dont wanna adjust it. im apporaching 6 months of having them and meth should be goin on in a month or so...

I agree with perfectdisguise. Put the new plugs in at .032, run 12psi , and see if blowout is gone/not as bad. If not, you have other issues. Start simple and eliminate possibilities from there. If you wait til the dyno to find out the plugs don't help with blowout, then you just wasted your day on the dyno that could have been productively used for tuning in the meth. Jmo.

Well you can not really do much with the tuning unless Vince has time to do it. Dragonfire just to let you know if or when you do e85 you will need a retune from summer to winter.

Since im gonna drop down to a 2.7in should I gap at .32 as well? As for different tunes I'll keep both on file for when it's time to switch.

Interesting I would like to see how it looks so I can leanr somemore. Is the system you buy from him going to require credits for say or just going to say here you go tune anything you want?

from what he said a few months back it would be 100 bux for a year or model unlock.. i dont remember which.. so like you'd pay 100 bux for your car and in my case i have an 06 2.4 L ion.. then i could tune any 06 2.4 ion .. but i'm not positive on that .. he said he would make it cheaper then hptuners to license things .

he also mentioned he'd have a "base file" registry that would give you a tune to get the car running with..

the shop that did the dyno will be doing my meth so if i have any issues ill be able to address them at the same time. they did my 2nd turbo install for me so they know a little about my car im happy with 10 psi really. it pulls harder than it was. i cant remember if i had an edited tune on 12 psi anyyway as it is. i got kinda lost in updates..

but it runs much better now so ill leave it as is. no need to fix somethin thats not broken.
