Uh oh... It's coming...
OK! Build update time!
EVERYTHING is on the car! Well, everything except my 60 lbs injectors which will be arriving on Monday
My main thought about the build: That was the most intensive install that I've ever done to an automobile to date and I'm not sure if I'd want to repeat it...
Anyone who is able to successfully install a supercharger on an Auto 2.4L is a god among men in my book. Jesus that was hard and it took us over 45 minutes of grunting and struggling before we were able to get the M62 onto the IM. We asked the upper radiator support nicely to please get out of our way. When that request fell on deaf ears, we brought out the 3 lbs mini-sledge and "persuaded" it out of our way.
Day 0: Last day of the SS Sedan being N/A...

End of Day 0: Bumper, tires, and wheel well liners are off, we're ready to rip into it in the morning!

Day 1: Time to tear into it! Stuff was practically flying out of the engine bay. It's amazing how much you have to remove off of the LE5 to do this install. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

There seems to be something missing here... Note: paper towels in the intake ports are BAD when using a cutoff wheel to hack off the dipstick tab.

Time to start putting things IN now! Here's a quick shot that, if you look closely, you can see the SC is temporarily in place.

And here's what we were waiting for! The test-fit of the M62!
(Notice no belt yet
)

It's in! Belt is now on and the upper radiator hose is attached.

End of Day 1: Our parts table is now looking very sparse! Wahoo!

Day 2: Time to dive into plumbing and wiring! (Harder that I first imagined it being as well, this was a full days' job).

It's starting to look like an engine bay now. Getting things buttoned up.

We have no leaks! Woot! Except, our Option B tank sits too low and doesn't give fluid to our system... *sigh*

And she's back to being a Cobalt!

It's a beautiful sight...

I have the K&N Typhoon for the moment. Eventually, I may go with a custom/semi-custom 3" CAI, but for now the K&N will work.
The build is probably quite a bit easier on manuals because the fact that the auto's engines are clocked forward and make installing the M62 ridiculously tough. The positioning of the A/C lines make routing the coolant lines interesting as well...
Also, I realized last night while lying in bed that I forgot to install the lower IM mounting bolt (the M10 bolt that stibilizes the IM/SC). After a bad panic attack (this build was physically and mentally exhausting), I was able to fall asleep and get to it this morning. So 3 hours later, she's all buttoned up once again and has the bolt in place...

Anyone know the best way to route the Option B lines? Currently, they go OVER the upper radiator hose and they're coming too high-meaning the tank is no longer the highest point in the circuit. Is it possible to run the 3/4" ID hose behind the headlight and under/in front of the radiator support?
Sorry, had some issues with P.E. Couldn't even wait for the tune before it overcame me.

It's COMPLETE! Pics are uploading now of the final product. Hope to have it tuned in the next couple of days and first start-up and first pull vids will accompany it
I received my 60 lbs injectors today (thank God for will-call pickup at UPS) and re-routed my option B line behind the passenger headlight and now I'm happy with its performance. I cannot wait to hear it fire up for the first time!
It's like a Picasso... Absolute masterpiece...

Option B tank now minus ridiculous back-up of fluid.

LS4 TB + K&N Intake. Not sure how it will do in tandem, but I'm OK with some constriction for the time being.

Ultimate Sleeper SS/SC Sedan

Simple interior (I will probably replace the black A-pillar gauge pod with ZZP's sedan dual-pod pillar to keep it looking even closer to stock). Not to mention my Autometer gauges didn't fit into this pod for some reason...

Big thanks to my little brother for coming down and helping me do this entire build and not telling me to go F#$% myself when he found out just what it all entailed. Also lots of love to my ever understanding wife who stood by my side shaking her head over the past year as my garage filled up with parts!

Thanks! Tuning is happening this afternoon, so I hope to have some vids up tonight/tomorrow.
