I'm not so sure getting a 2.4 cylinder head is worth the expense and aggravation!

The 4 valves, ample intake and exhaust ports, and the VVT provide more than enough flow for the engine now. I doubt getting the head ported would increase your 1/4 mile speed by 1 MPH. There's overkill and then there's OVERKILL...it's your money...spend it the way you want.

Are you trying to say the stock head is great already? Not quite man. Increasing the flow of the head is a great idea and will yeild much higher gains over time with the right parts. All motor or FI it would help out quite a bit.

does anyone have flow chart numbers from the stock head? it wouldnt surprise me if it flows pretty damn good already, but im sure theres some areas that good be touched up and some edges to be smoothed out. just get an extra head and do it yourself.

dont always believe flow charts. different ways of testing can make the numbers read much higher. and then you have to keep in mind port size and velocity. getting it to flow over 300 doesnt matter much if you double the port size. make sure its a respectable place.

just FYI, all of the ecotec heads (excluding the LNF) flow roughly the same numbers (within 5% IIRC). Most of the heads have a restrictive back side, whereas the LNF had a restrictive intake side...again this is IIRC

one day (when im out of debt and have money again) im having M2race port my head
