I'm sorry but stock for stock the Si has the advantage. Unless of course the driver just sucked or the car was beat to ****. The only one I raced was beat to hell (the drain plug came out after an oil change when the owner went WOT on the highway) and the race was dead even.

Still an idiot for racing in the rain! And ontop of that an auto beating an si? they are with a decent driver 14.9 cars. The best a 2.4 auto is going to pull stock is probably a 15.5.

I figure 15.7 is a good time for a 2.4 08 sport auto. Since I dont think my car picked up that much from a jet module and an sri but have taken out 15.5 cars by about a car length to 2. But then again who knows.

My G5GT is fully bolted and Trifecta tuned. I'm more than sure it could hold its own against an SI.

I've stomped an '06 HHR 2LT, stock but for a K&N Drop-In; a stock '06 2.2L Cobalt Sedan; a stock '90 Miata with 250k on the clock.

I've held my own against an '02 RSX Type-S with full Catback, Airbox Mod, and a 6-speed. He only pulled me by one car from 45-85. This was due to my car being an auto and throwing out the anchor after 2nd. This was also when I had my stock air filter in and was running 87.

Manual 08 2.4s seem to be right on the Si's ass when they are stock. But the auto are decently far behind.

It not so bad if you have a tune and supporting mods.

Depending on year you might be able to do it yourself.

08 Tune wise = Jet,LS2Edit, and Trifecta
06-07 I think can run Hp as well. Though unsure.

Honestly all I have right now is the jet module and an cold air intake and id guess between a 15.3-15.4 for my car.

One thing that may or may not make a difference is if you put 93 Octane in the tank. I know I do...always.

I run 91-93 depending on what I can find but the jet stage 2 module requires it.

when i bought my car in sept 08 i was putting regular(87) in it then for ***** and giggles i started putting supreme(93) in it it took about two to three tanks of gas for me to start to see the performance difference but now i wouldn't go back my sport halls ass with the higher grade. the 5spd helps a lot too i would never buy a sports car as an auto if you really wanna use it.

Also, what mods can I do to an auto? I'm more about the aesthetics than performance but having some minor bolt ons wouldn't be bad.
