Canada What to write down before battery pull??

hey, i just bought an used 2006 2.4l cobalt ss :P and i have been wanting to eventually tune it to my liking, so i thought my first investment would be an air intake system. so i bought the K&N typhoon SRI for my car, upon reading the instructions i noticed that they said when i disconnect the negative port of my battery, a junk of stuff will get erased. im actually kinda scared of what will happen and according to them i should write down some codes or something before i disconnect it, i know this is a noob question but what kind of information should i take down before i disconnect my battery? lol if someone could reply to me right away that would be awesome because i really want the SRI on my car ASAP
