Who has a zzp turbo kit?
turns out he's pushing about 10 psi .. now sure how cuz he's running off the wastegate (which is supposed to be a 5.8psi spring) unless he's getting creep or something .. it's kinda hard to stare at the dash hawk though when that turbo kicks your ass lol
fair enough on the g5 aspect.. however I"ve done tunes on cars with different ecms and never had the issue.. some sstcs and ss/scs
i emailed you guys about the way you get vacuum do you have any details about that I could see. I like the setup .. right now i'm tapping the brake booster the "old" method .. and I don't feel comfortable with it
he keeps periodically throwing a P1862 code .. but that seems like it's a ignition issue not something with the kit
the crank relearn and P0606 seems like we've fixed for now thought over all great kit..
open dump = loud LOL

I'll look for your email.
stage 2.
no big mods, that dont come with the kit.
I guess when i sent whoever I sent the VIN to (twice), they didnt see the fact that it was a G5?
the controller is all the way down.

Regardless of year, you will always have to perform a seed key relearn and crank position variation learn any time you replace the ecm. The 606 code was due to a Cobalt box being used on a G5. We've never advertised our kit as being compatible with a G5. Had I known what car it was going on, I would have asked for the original ECM to flash which would have solved all three of the situations you mentioned.
You should check the wastegate/boost control vacuum lines and routing. There's no reason the boost should be that high unless the boost controller is turned up nearly two turns.

eh that boost controller was one of the things I really didn't like about the kit, I say step up to a decent MBC (I know the issue with that is you get a bunch of retards trying to push 20psi out of it). everything else though was good.
Might take a stab at going over the tune on the thing in a few weeks to clear it up a bit.

i have a question, does anyone have any issues with the kit?
i'm referring more to any tuning issues?
car running to rich or lean?
any codes?
and if possible how much of difference or an average on mpg with normal driving (rarely to occasional runs, not senior driving :P sorry) city or highway or both
thanks,

there were a bunch of codes thrown due to a cobalt ecm being used on a G5 it was a safe tune but it had room for some nice gains, if you stay out of boost you wont see any worse MPG you might actually see better mpg
In a way, if you stay out of boost (not too hard on the gas with turbo installed) it will essentially be the same as a NA car because you wont be using boost which = more fuel being used.
no he was saying, that if you do go with a zzp kit, that you would probably see better mpg when daily driving if you dont beat on it and stay out of boost. Turbo/supercharged cars arent always in boost, if your light on the peddle, it wont go into boost and you will get great fual economy as long as you have a good tune. If you floor it everywhere and keep it in boost, you wont get very good fuel economy.
hell on 60 lbs injectors (which are notorious for having to runs really rich idle ratios) I can get like 34-36 mpg all highway with boost .. I was getting like 26- 30 mpg on my daily commute to work which was like 28 miles and it's 60 highway 40 city and I have a sc so it's easier to hit boost lol
long as you're not in it you'll have decent MPG i drove from NJ to NH and got 350-360 miles for the tank and i raced a few people lol and was boosting alot just for fun lol

yeah I had gotten some real nice mileage when I was turbo'd, not so much on the built motor though w/the ported head and whatnot. I also was running a big turbo that didn't really start to spool until 2500 rpm though
