Who's the fastest 2.4 on here right now?
yeah and people said 14s on a stock 2.4L was impossible too. I am not saying I will hit 14 flat but I really don't think that a full bolt on 2.4L with the RKsport hood will be slower then 14.4 at best. I mean with good tires I could hit in the 14.6-14.7 range. So you don't think full exhaust, tune, "ram" air and better tires will net me a half a second?!?!?! Your crazy.
The problem is, the more performance mods you get, aka exhaust and header move your powerband to the upper RPM's. This will in turn make it much harder to pull through the first couple of gears. RedSSNA chose some mods to help improve his chances of keeping the torque down low but it still doesn't start to pull hard till 3rd gear. Gain something somewhere and you have to give it up somewhere else.

2.)EcoBoost,13.78@101.74 w/2.09 60',coupe,auto,TK/E/T/ST
looks to me like celiecacobalt is the fastest, slightly ahead of ecoboost.
if you guys have slips, vids/pics, pm them too me so I can update the top 10 list.

also with all the hp and tq talk, it doesnt mean much, track times dont lie where as a dyno can alter numbers in all kinds of ways. I have seen people on here making more hp than me with slower times. track times are the best way to tell whos fastest, dynos really dont mean much.
I beg to differ...
1- Suspension is part of the car. I have spent a lot of time, energy, tunsten and cro-moly, and harddrive space working on designs to improve the travel path of the differential and pinion angle on my Chevelle. Does this mean that my car is still only as good as a stock Chevelle? No...it is superior to a stock Chevelle suspension set up.
2- I don't care how good your car is...if the driver isn't good, then the race is lost. I've won and lost races to other dragsters and door cars of all different types. The bottom line is that the driver needs to do their part...or all the the money and upgrades in the world are worthless.
3- If you don't set a limit on exactly what the race is, then any results are completely skewed. The dragstrip is a set length, and requires a fair start; anything else is subject to interpretation ("You left too early", "the lane I'm in had potholes", "I shut down early cause I knew you couldn't beat me"...or enter in any other lame excuse a street racer has given).
The guy provides this as a measuring stick because there is NO way to cheat it! As any true racer knows...the timeslip doesn't lie...
Did I miss anything, guys???

There are any number of possible issues that a racer can face. However, the bottom line is that if a racer has a timeslip that says how fast their car can run, I can't argue that. Again, the timeslip doesn't lie!
(No disrespect intended to those that have to run at Bandimere!!!! That place is MURDER on N/A cars!)
