Get them to become a vendor over here and answer all of our questions.

And btw, you said they will have the 2.0 after the pcm is cracked? Will it be worth it? Will it provide us a better tune than the GM reflash?

Hmmm
Are these guys using HPTuners VCM Suite by chance??
By that I mean are THEY doing the actual ECM hacking OR are they just providing a custom tune via someone else's software????

BTW>You got your ECM facts skewed somewhat slo...
The 2002-05 4.2 Inline 6 Trailblazer/Envoy uses a P10 PCM actually.
The 2.4 LE5 Ecotecs use the E67 ECM and the 2.2 L61 uses the E16A.
The 2.0 LSJ is the only ECOTEC family engine uses the P12, but it is also used in the inline 4 and 5 cylinder engines found in the Colorado/Canyons and an "oddball" application of the P12 is the Saab 9-7X with the 5.3

Can anyone here actually confirm the existence of these modded boxes with physical proof? or is at all still in the "let's talk about it/developmental" stages???....

I personally talked to westers garage and they hack the code to the PCM. They have not done the 2.0 because they don't have one to work with and if\when they get one they believe that they could have it done within 2 weeks. I posted a thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums//showthread.php?t=13419asking for a volunteer but no one seems interested and I live 2 far away.

Update: Just got back from Vector Motorsports where they used my Cobalt for testing their ecm tuning. I first want to say that Kirk and Chrs seemed to be very experienced in the tuning that they did. And they only had the car for about 2 hours.

Car went in with injen CAI and Megan muffler w/ 2.25 portion replaced with 2.5and newly changed synthetic. I believe before the tune it dynoed at 147hp@6400 and 140tq @4400 and in the end dynoed at 159hp@6600 and 150tq@4400. The revlimter was turned up to 7000 from 6700. The a/f ratio was worked on a lot, getting it evened out all the way across the rpm band, stock it had it had alot of spikes and dips. Timing was tweaked a bit, fan kicks in sooner. Car pulls much harder ALL the way throw the rpm band and keeps climbing up to the 7000 limiter. A lot was gained at the low-mid range tq, around 3500 the thing takes off. And mpg went up about 2-3. I'll post the graphs later when i get them.

They are looking for a Stock Cobalt 2.4 to tune and then they said they should be able to start selling this after that. They are located near Detroit so if anybody is in the area or can make the trip e-mail Chris @ chris@whiteautoandmedia.com. This would really help get these out on the market. They say they can do same day turn around and possible core exchange.

P.S. I'm heading to the track tommorow so i can get some times

Good to hear the work they've done on the Solstice has been able to be back used for Cobalts.

Over at the Solstice forum they've got dyno graphs of the Solstice pre-/post ECU upgrade as well.
