a o2 sensor that you plug into your downpipe that reads your air fuel ratio. If you have to ask what it is no you dont need it just buy a downpipe without one.

i would get it just in case. it's what, like 10 dollars more or something? (going from memory) this way if you ever decide to get a wideband, you don't have to worry. i'm kinda regretting not getting one.

these are pretty ignorant responses. just because he doesn't know what it is, that means he'll never need one? come on, he said he's a noob so cut him some slack.

i say get one just in case. if you never use it, big deal you're out 10 dollars. but, if you ever decide to get a wideband, you'll be very happy that you have the bung already there instead of paying a shop way more than 10 dollars to put one in.

Its actually a 20 dollar option and i dont think it comes with a plug so if hes not going to use it hes going to have to buy a plug for another 10 bucks which is 30 dollars so hes going to waste his money. If you dont need it dont get it , if you take your car to a muffler shop it will be the same price in the future i didnt get mine with the option and to put in a o2 bung was 20 dollars.

The $20 includes the plug. It is $15 for the bung without a plug.

I think for $20 you order it with the bung and plug when ordering a $400+ header/downpipe combo but your mileage may vary.

to get one welded after you purchase it is roughly $30 around this part. the plug is a common thread, and if you really can't find one around...a spark plug will fill that bung. plugs are cheap.
