2014 Chevy Cruze SS Coupe... really??
I've been reading a lot of online magazine within the last few months, to me it looks like GM is 80% sure of producing the 2014 Chevy Cruze Coupe SS for MY 2014.. It makes me wonder, if this does happen, what will the future designs of the Ecotec engine will look like?? HINT HINT GM.. 2.4 Turbo with dual port DI please!!
If it does, I wouldn't be surprised if the FWD HP will be around 260 - 300 range.. and I hope GM comes out a with a stage kit[s] while the car is out on the sales floor, instead of a few years later like the Cobalt stage kit snafu.. I hope it comes with a either a 6 or 7 speed transmission in Auto or Manual with paddle shifters.. SWEET!! .
As for the suspension I'm hoping for a beefier setup compared to our Cobalt's, but it will be nice to have it as a option[s] i.e.: different size Anti-Sway-bars, Springs, etc..? A nice steering wheel setup to go with the sharp steering feel.. [Electronic steering control, really GM? - bad idea]
As for the brakes, bigger Bembro's at least 17" or 18" would be nice.. [GM thats was a nice feature on the Cobalt - Bravo!!]
The interior should be sportier, and filled with some Carbon fiber accents, dual screen RPD features both on the A-piller pod and on the radio screen [a-la GTR screen].. and it should have the radio options like the Caddy ATS radio - that radio is a hot!!
There is talk online, that the 2014 Cruze Coupe SS will make an appearance early next year during the 2013 Detroit Auto Show... we'll see.. Even though GM has been pretty tight lipped on what options [??] it will have, if they decide to produce it. I hope they don't miss the boat on this..
I would be first on line to pick one up..

This is speculative rendering of the 2014 Chevy Cruze may look like.. b/c the 2014 MY has design cues from Impala..
The fog light are LED types like the new benz's..

oh and the electric steering BTW every car manufacture uses it. for chrysler, its for fuel economy and actually works better that power steering hydrolics. since it can adjust to the speed of the car

f it were FWD, I'd still rock it
increased crank hp numbers with the Regal and the ATS, jus by openin the exhaust an retunin, it'd still be eay power, but much nicer than the cobalt.. I'd grab one in SRMT

Well.. The newer 2013 Cruze LTZ loaded are hitting the 27k mark... Those come with the touch screens, the backup camera, sound system, power leather heated seats.. keyless start..
So I imagine this one will start mid 20s...
