I know this thread died years ago, but since it's related to the clutch, I'm gonna revive it.
So I'm in the process of going back to stock to sell the car. It's been an amazing run, but it's time for something new, and I could use the money to finish up my last three semesters at school.
It's amazing how much has changed since then. I had one hell of a custom turbo setup on this thing, a blown engine, and more. The girl who's dad helped me is now married and expecting her first kid, and I've moved a few times and I've probably done about 10 clutches now. I think the fast time was 2 hours and some change with two friends I've done several clutches with. The lift probably helped a bit too.
Last night I finished up removing that Spec Stage 3+ clutch. Still looks pretty good, but it was quite the work out for the leg. I replaced it with the GMPP clutch. Every time I go to shift I feel like I'm gonna put my foot through the floor. Not used to such a light peddle. All I have left to do is a few things here and there like install the new interior door handle and she'll be listed for sale.
Oh yea, I'm just about ready to hit 36,000 miles.

Neat update! It's amazing how things change so much over just a few years. Glad you enjoyed the car, sounds like you got used to doing clutches LOL. I've done about 6 and my best time is just about yours, on a lift as well.
GMPP is a hard clutch to beat. Those things hold up to a quite a bit of power and abuse as well. What are you planning on picking up as a replacement vehicle?

Right now I'm thinking of picking up a Sky Redline when I'm done with school.
Until then I still have my daily beater Cavy, and a Ion Redline that's about to get a new engine, so there isn't any shortage of Ecotecs right now haha.
Also, for those who were wondering, if I ever build up another Ecotec, you can be damn sure I'll be getting a Spec Stage 3+ in it. It was an amazing clutch and if I wasn't getting ready to sell this car it'd be making some pretty damn good power.
