GM performance exhaust system

I have a stock 2007 Chevy Cobalt Lt with the 2.2 liter engine and I am wanting to put one of the GM Performance exhaust system to put on it. I would like to know witch one sounds better is it GM's "Performance" or "Touring" kit. I have read that the Performance has a aggressive growl and the Touring has a throaty purr. Witch one would should the best and be the coolest one to have put on. Also do to the fact that they are GM performance part that you could buy with the cars would it be covered bye the factory warrenty. Also I have been looking at buying the GM performance Air Intake and would it be covered as well and also how well will it help my performance and power out put? I would also like to know how these modifactions would affect my car, like in a bad way or good way?

all the GM parts are covered by standard warranty as they are approved GM parts.

I have the GMPP Touring Muffler welded onto my production LSJ catback, and it sounds amazing.

Really well i was looking at getting the GMPP cat-back set up for it. But how much did it cost you to have yours set up?

Well, a guy on here traded me the GMPP Touring Muffler (just the muffler) for my CTI downpipe, and I had a custom exhaust shop (not a random shitty muffler shop) weld it on to my production exhaust for $70. They even made the little 2.25" section that goes over the rear axle 2.50". so my whole catback is 2.50" (stainless) now. I didn't want the full gmpp catback, because it is 2.25" (too small for a modded SS/SC). All I wanted to do was get rid of the lunch box stock muffler, and free up some flow with a nice sounding performance muffler.

Nice that sound cool, does your car have the 2.2 in it?

I have the GMPP Performance with a Vibrant header/downpipe and I LOVE it. For me, it's the perfect balance of what I want. During normal driving when I'm not getting on it, it's noticably louder than stock, but by no means "rice" or very loud, just enough to kinda set it off. But when I floor it it really opens up and get's decently loud, but nothing unbearable. It's the perfect balance IMO. I only had the catback on for a week or so before I put the header/dp on the car, and it sounded great then. The header/dp is what made it much louder than when it was just the catback. I recommend it. And I've had this setup on my car since May '08 btw.

And as far as an intake, you'll see some performance gains, but nothing crazy-noticeable. When I put mine on, the "butt-dyno" suggested a little pick up, but that's about it. If you had a s/c it would make the whine louder (sex) too. Also you might get a slight boost in fuel economy.

Cool well its going to be sometime before I can afford the parts anyways but I'm wanting to get a Idea of what I want now before i actually do have the money to bye every thing.
