[QUOTE=USMCFieldMP;2047739]There is no way that you can make that blower look anywhere close to stock... other than the color.[QUOTE]

I don't care about the overall size difference but most people won't know the difference just by looking at it. It'll still be a sleeper to most even though the change is right in front of your face.

if these people are looking under your hood they will either have no idea the car is supercharged or they will notice right away it is a non-stock blower. those are the two groups of people I have come across

I'm sorry but a company finally comes out with some seriously engineered and quality parts and you are worried about where to get cheaper pullies? C'mon the least you could do is support a company that gives a **** about the LSJ.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different car's MAF, but I thought ours could handle plenty of air. In fact... I think that Hahn's GT35R kit uses the stock MAF, IIRC. Maybe I am mistaken.

I guess you're right, most people here in va beach only know what a turbo looks like. Then they ask me why my car screams like a banshee when I pull off. In any case, I look forward to this addition.

Yeah... more of a band-aid

But hey... wasn't that what DSM's were all about?

You can push the stock MAF to about 13k hz before clipping occurs however the software only allows adjustment to 11.1k.

You lose resolution whether you increase pipe diameter with the stock MAF or replace it with a larger unit.

just because i was one of the few here in town that didn't switch to a 2g mas, or a gm maf-t setup. doesn't mean i bandaided the stock mas

honeycomb removal + tin snips + screw driver = no fuel cut. ever

hehehehehehhehe

the larger MAF would be calibrated to have spec'd resolution if it was designed for such...no?

Wow those blowers look great Harrop! The one without the paint in natural aluminum finish, can that be had for the same price? Looks almost identical to stock and that what I would want.

Unless harrop gives them the proper dimensions, aftermarket companies will be "guessing" as to the correct offsets and fit diameters. Do not skimp out and purchase a "cheap" pulley because it will come with a high risk of being incorrect. If your spending the money to mod your car.. at least make sure its done CORRECTLY.

I'm not in this to build an all-out strip burner, if that was the case I would dust of my '89 T/A and dump cash into that. I want this to be an economical daily driver with some sleeper like get-up when I need it... That said MAF resolution is everything to me... I would be happy to buy a TVS to make the same power I am currently making (262whp @ avg. 29.9mpg) if I could make it more economically... 265whp @ 33-35mpg would put as big a big-ass grin on my face as 300whp @ 29mpg would...
