KDW's are nice.....I have some 225/40 kuhmo ecsta mx's.....actually, pretty damn good tires. A good set of nittos would be nice for the track though

I'm on stock sized Kumho Ecsta SPTs for street and have 26x9.5x16 Hoosier QTPs I got from Summit on 16" steelies from tirerack.

The SPTs I have are 380 treadwear I think and hook decently but really hate the cold temperatures.

If for some reason I would ever pick up another ecotec car (solstice, hhr ss, etc) the first thing I would do would be piston and valvespring swap. Its so easy to do once you have done it a couple of times.

if something does happen everything is going on at once, ported head, cams, head studs, cometic headgasket, valve springs,neutral balance shafts and all.
