no. from my understanding it should be the same...

basically the same volume...

no.

many experts and the math agrees that the longer the IC the less efficient it becomes per its given size, and a larger PD occurs across it.

a, short, yet thick core will perform better then a long, thin unit.

the guys at Garrett and Precision all say that once your past the first foot or so in length the IC becomes fairly useless.

so take that first foot or so and make it thick. giving you your surface area back while maintaining a minimal PD.

but all this pales in comparison to the thermal mass of an IC. you want the heaviest unit you can get, that usealy equates out to a larger fin density and a larger thermal mass.

that means that the IC can store the heat your IATs give to it and dissipates it at a later moment in time.

so basically you'll heat it up during a run, and the IC will soak up all the heat it can and then "give it away" back to the atmosphere on your drive back to the staging lanes.....ya dig?

a light unit dont have the mass to store all that heat so its forced to absorb less and less heat until it can drop its temp back down.

06Black, about how many inches of pipe would you say is the 3" part of the charge pipe you run? Is the rest 2.5" pipe under the car? I use 2.5" all the way on my Integra and it works great and spools fast, but I don't have a MAF in that pipe to worry about either.

Nice intake manifold. I'd probably go with one like Hahn makes though if I was doing the swap.
