2007 2.2 using a 2008 2.4 block crank and pistons.
Hello all so I'm trying to get information on using a 2007 chevy cobalt LT original 2.2 L61 car but swapping out the 2.2 short block for a 2.4 short block . There is 1 year difference in the engines . I guess the big question here is the crank shaft reluctor and sencer in the 2.4 able to communicate as the 2.2 would ? Just curious if any one in here has done this or knows of a way to do it ? I hear opposing opinions on this and would love to know what it would take to do this correctly of course thanks for any info good or bad on how difficult this may be .
