Is there some proof, like vids of said pulls, pics of graphs, vids of track runs... Not calling anyone out, I just will believe it when I see it with my own eyes.

i had a few people asking about this setup again so i figured id update it with new pics. the car runs lower ait2's than 1's when doing full throttle pulls down the street. at the track it is retarded fast, i just dont know how to drive. and i forget to shift. i trapped 110 just riding the rev limiter out in 3rd from the 1k mark, shifting out of first at about 3k, and short shifting 2nd at about 5k (traction problems). ill get back in the spring time to try a few more runs, i bet it will trap over 115 when i actually can run out the first two gears.
gutted

thrown away

filled in

finished

own
launch box/no lift shift
ottp stage 2 axles
new 3in dp
posi tranny
better tires

just need to put all that stuff in

the car runs incredibly but still needs some more tuning. once the exhaust goes on the boost will drop, and the revs will go up. should make a good amount more hp and tq. just figured id keep you guys posted

it does exactly what i said it would do. it cooled down the air in the engine alot better than the stock intake manifold did.

what proof do you need? i can give it to you

Can't believe I just saw this and it's over 6 months old. I was PCS'ing to Germany at the time that this was a hot thread though.

That's amazing and has never been done in any cobalt, ever! I have also designed a liquid to air setup with a 3.5" thick bellintercooler core and yes it flows rediculous but it didn't cools as well as the air to air setup! Both are very good units. The bottom line is there is two things you need if your going to run a 2.5"M62/TVS/TURBO one is a real intake manifold cause if you have over 20,000 miles it's probably cluaged with oily soot from the crank case vent not to mention the gallon of oil sitting at the bottom of your stock intake manifold from the ill designed PCV system which doesn't work much past stock boost levels!! Another must have is a good port job, I have seen ZZP's and a few others and there great, but I take out alot more material for people with real power adders like 2.5"M62/TVS/TURBO just ask people they'll tell ya! When you can engineer parts that make a good tuner speachless your getting good at building parts!
here's where you are WRONG.

By no timing I mean they are probably around 16-15 advance instead of where he is going to be meth. He should see as high as 25 advance with his direct port meth setup.
WHOA!!!! Ported head??? Depressing.......

The stock pcv valve just burps oil into the manifold every time you boost up, which is killing your power over time. Everyone can vouch for this; get new parts pulley, injectors and such then you get it tuned you make 260ish. In 6 months to a year you go dyno your car again all the sudden your making 190-220ish hummmm wonder why? The whole point of this discusion is this the stock manifold is a piece of ****!!!!!!! I don't care if mine doesn't make a hundred more horse power or whatever the fact is you wont be robing your self of horse power over time and you have colder AIT2 which means denser air which means less boost to make more power which equals SAFE!!!
I can't believe this car has a ported head............wow

just because it cooled IAT's better doesn't mean that it is better than the stock intake manifold. It seems as though it's TERRIBLE for flow, but I'm only going off your max 312whp and roughly 260wtq that has been posted.

I'm not trying to get you worked up or mad, I'm just trying to make sense of this.

bump for scanner logs of this setup vs a properly set up air-to water
