Meth/Cooling mods

Hey guys!

I was hoping someone could give me some more information on how Methanol injection works. I've read Devil's Own website and some others, but I've never dealt with methanol before.

I'm also looking for any ideas on cooling mods, I remember this being a huge issue back in the SS/SC days but I never took my SS past stage2. Looking to currently reduce the IAT's and overall heat really because my platform has a terrible IC and gets crazy heatsoak extremely quickly, especially during days above 80 degrees.

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys

methanol will help temps up in boost while it is spraying but not just cruising around on a hot day.. ull see ur biggest gains in power with methanol injection after tuning for it and either raising boost levels... or timing.. or both depending on ur set up and what you want.

it can be the single best modification you do to a car when done properly and researched correctly..

many ask how long a tank will last. for example a gallon tank.. and the answer is that it varies depending on different variables including how u drive.. if ur always in boost and having the injection constantly spraying.. it wont last as long.. say a week for this case.. another variable being nozzle size.. nozzles range from 3 to 15 gallon per hour.. for stage 2.. 3 GPH is plenty and would be a nice compliment to the 15ish pounds of boost ur running ..

as for engine/block damage.. mixing the methanol with distilled water will be "safer" than running pure methanol but it will not cause any damage to the motor.. its sprayed as a mist that mixes with the air charge.. cooling temps and then combusting within the cylinders.

adding methanol injection wirhout tuning for it will show virtually no effects.. some lower temps.. but thats it. no power gains.

hope this helps

Well where I'm at right now, my turbo is pretty much maxed out at peak flow. I'm purely looking to keep IAT's and overall heat down, otherwise I'm getting terribad heatsoak almost immediately

Besides a more effecient IC, which is still in the works. I've also considered n2o or cry02 IC sprayer. Any thoughts?

sprayers on the IC will again help temps.. personally id spray n2o cuz anything that isnt used up in cooling will be used as horsepower. while co2 will only cool

How do you decide which size nozzle to run is always what I've been unclear on
