doesn't nitrometh need like a ridiculous amount of fuel to be put in the cylinder to make power? it doesn't even need oxygen to burn, and it is highly explosive. i wouldn't put that in my car
but it also takes something like 7 times the amount of nitromethane as gasoline to fully combust the same amount of oxygen..lol
I've been seeing additives lately to add nitromethane to methanol injection.. i like this idea...
It does need oxygen, but it doesn't need as much.. it can make something like 2.3-2.5 times the power with the same amount of oxygen as gasoline does...

I run 2% nitrometh in my corvette I was always told you don't want to add more than 5% it added like 7whp but Im injecting over 600cc/min on an 800 crank horsepower car so your gains may not be that high
This! It is some nasty stuff. The cars that run it have to be started on alcohol because it is not conducive to cold starts. Never heard of anyone running it in a street car because it needs any ultra high CR and rich mixture to burn properly. OP I doubt you will notice any difference vs just your water/meth mixture. You can always run a little more meth if you need more octane.
