OFFICIAL Blown 4-banger build updates!
And all that money will result in your car not getting finished. Throw in the towel man your washed up. Admins need to shut this thread down. Not even like cobalt members here look up to you. They need to move this trash to your regional section at a minimum cause new people click on this thread expecting all this hype and all they get after two years and all your boasting is NOTHING.

I have to agree with Darksun. You really should cut your losses or do something to change your circumstances. You talk about being broke but you are dumping all your money into a car that will probably be expensive as hell to drive with gas, oil, tires, clutch, etc needing to be changed more often. and what if something breaks. I think its going to suck when/if you finish your build and cannot afford to drive it because of no monies.
I dont know what you do for a living but why dont you get a new job to better your situation?

We the thing you people don't realize, is I can't afford to cut my losses. It would cost me more money to sell the car, then to just keep going. Also, Gas and oil are not really expenses. Gas is in front of food on my list, and you need to change the oil once every 3000-5000 miles. Tires will be fine, and the clutch is retarded. It can handle 850 hp, and I will be nowhere near that much power.
I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire, but how the hell did your thread become a sticky? Didn't you like sabotage your supercharger and then claim, " oh my god the whine is so loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" then your motor popped?
on a more informational stand, I think you are just trying to be too aggressive with your build. That's why your car isnt' running. I don't think it'll be a good street car at all anymore once you get it together. That's why I'm doing a much milder build, but I'd bet TITLES that you'll never run a faster et than me in the 1/4 mile.

His car isnt running because a lifter collapsed..Nothing he could of done about that.It was a defective lifter. You people need to stop being so ******* negative all the dam time.Cam is gonna get his car back together and better than ever no matter what you guys say so STFU about it already. All your doing is wasting your "E-breath".He has a job that doesnt pay as much as others and is STILL doing a full build, something ALOT of LSJ owners dont do!Ya its taking long but who the **** cares? It's his car let him do it to the speed he wants. If it bothers you that much,Then GTFO and unsubscribe to this thread and move on with your life. There still some of us interested in this build which WILL be ******* awesome WHEN its done.So please do your fingers a favor and shut the hell up if you dont have anything positive to say.
Well this F*cking Saga has been going on for 630 days now, of which the car only ran for 10 of them! We are quickly approaching YEAR #2 of his car not working. If it's not running by MAY 30th, 2009 I'm driving over to his house and putting a birthday cake with 2 candles in it on top of his car!

Yesterday, we removed the SC manifold, intercooler pump, and some plumbing. We also installed an L61 alternator, and L61 tensioner. Now I just need to get my two adaptor plates (one for the manifold, and one for the LSJ throttle body) welded with the 90* pipe that I have. I also need to tap (or plug) that PCV fitting, and cut the L61 manifold flange to clear that hole. Apparently the lifters entered the united states on the 2nd of February, so they should hopefully get here today.
March 31st is the cars 3rd b-day. If your gonna do that, at least get the age and date right

To each their own, though! I personally have faith in Cameron to finish this thing eventually.
even if it means waiting till it's paid off to put car payment money toward parts
I'm using my current cams. They are pretty aggressive and with an adjustment to the LSA, they should work fine. I will eventually get custom turbo ground cams, when the time comes.
