No. I'm focused on being able to drive the car, and not have it sitting on the side of my house. When I focus on power, thats when I'll get the sheet metal intake manifold. Maybe you should get more information before saying stupid things like that.

Statement retracted. Forgot you're running it N/A before you swap.

You should throw it on the dyno. Just for giggles.

You should be able to make at least 450whp with pump gas on a Hahn Super 20G... and that'll cost you just under $1k.
The 16g and the 20g have the same turbine wheel and shaft unless you upgrade to the
tdo6 exhaust wheel and that still has the same tubrine shaft size. the only difference in the 2 turbos is basicly the compressor wheels and cover. You will need to run 25psi plus to make that horse power on a 20g. I ran both 16g and 20g on my dsm for quite a few seasons and they never failed. I ran 28psi on my 20g for almost a whole season at the track and the turbo never failed, and the 16g saw 25psi pretty often, no probs. That turbo is definitely not going to make 450whp on pump gas with out some KR issues, it's just not a good turbo to run high boost and 93oct., race gas maybe. The compressor wheel is just to small for high boost on pump gas. Good Luck

Yeah, my longer gears, and far superior driving skill, should make for a good race. I estimate in good weather with a 2.4L intake mani, I should be around 180-200 whp, and probably 160-170 wtq. George has intake and exhaust, so he's probably around 225 whp and 210 wtq. However he has a 6500 rpm rev limit. So he will shift out of first at ~34 mph, and out of second at ~64. I have an 8200 rpm rev limit so first gear will end at 45 mph and second at 87 mph Should be interesting.
Also George has full interior and a supercharger. Mine has no blower, a light weight intake mani, no plumbing for the blower or A/C, AND it has no stereo equipment. Less weight FTW!!! Plus, less torque = better traction.

I would honestly rather see this race then a startup video of Cam's car finally running.

There already is a start up vid of my car. I put 2000 miles on my car before it collapsed the lifter.

I am excited too. I am kinda excited to hear my car NA. Its got 3 inch exhaust with 2 resonators and a big muffler, it was still loud as **** with the blower, but NA it should be much more quiet.

We'll have to get someone to tape it because it will happen at Firebird after he gets it running again. It will be fun saying I beat a car with a fully built motor with only an intake and exhaust.

Still no cat, though, right? I'm sure it'll still be deafening.

I don't think so.
Air flow = Volume.
Supercharged = Lots of air flow with no exhaust restrictions = Super ****** loud
N/A = Not nearly as much air flow as SC = Much quieter
Turbo = Tons of air flow, but a huge exhaust restriction = Bad ass sounding

Just picked up two used TD05H-14B turbos, gonna buy a couple rebuild kits for em, and then decide what I wanna do with em.

Flow Rate @ 15psi:
TDO5H-14B-6CM2 = 405 CFM

Max Output:
TD05-14B (stock 1st gen) 275-300hp @ 21 psi

Lets multiply those numbers by 2...

Flow Rate @ 15 psi = 810 CFM

Max Output = 550-600 hp @ 21 psi

I'm liking where this is going, perhaps I will be the first RUNNING twin turbo cobalt...

port the exhaust housing of the 14b and it will sustain 24psi all day long and do over 300whp.

do not rebuild them yourself. small turbo's need to be balanced.

He probably knows someone with the proper equipment to balance them. Or maybe he'll shoot the turbo wheel right through his passenger's leg while racing someone.

I don't really have any reason to port them. If I run 24 psi, I'd be making like 650 hp. I am going to give them to the place I used to work at, they will balance them for me. I will probably port the housings just for the hell of it.
