Thanks I hope so, I'll be getting them milled and PnP'd this weekend. We'll stick it on the flowbench first to see what she flows out of the box.

Why not go for some AFR 225cc Mongoose heads. I dont know how much you paid for the 243's, and then you have the PnP/mill work to be done. The AFR's are the best flowing heads, no matter where you look.

However for a street vehicle, you might want to go with 205cc's so you dont kill the bottom end as much.

The AFR's are impressive for sure, but the $2k price tag is out of the question for me. Plus even with the 205cc's I would have to have them milled .020 to get the same compression ratio I would with the stock 243's because of the larger combustion chamber on a 4.00" bore. I paid $400 for the 243's shipped new, porting and milling is going to run me $500 so it's about the most cost effective combo I can handle with my weak salary. I would have gone the L92/L76 route if I could afford the time to fab up some brackets to mount the truck accessories in line with the L76 intake manifold. Nothing like having $500 heads that flow over .300 cfm @ .550 lift straight from the factory.

Here are some pics of the blow bench testing we did last night on the 243's:

The numbers (intake) done on a 3.900" bore, he did not have a template for a 4.000" bore:

lift flow cfm @ 28"
.050 32
.100 64
.150 98
.200 135
.250 167
.300 194
.350 217
.400 235
.450 250
.500 260
.550 260
.600 252

I'm having paul do some port work on them in the next few weeks then we'll stick it on the flow bench again for some before and after comparisons.

Yeah, I wanted LSK lobes but with the lift is reaching the limits on the comp 918's so I opted for the X-ER.
