Oh my, look at how big you are...
thats pretty much required for the TVS too but the blower housing is so much larger that it looked like it would be a bit more than that to get to the blower bolts.. looks like the upper part of the housing isnt much higher than the tvs though.. tough to tell
naaah...
all thats holding back the mp90 from getting tuned and on the dyno is a 5-10 dollar bracket...
ohh and a $24 refill of meth
fml
lets see here... i made 247whp/227ft lbs on this local dyno...
if this thing can do 300whp for $650 bucks... ill be a happy camper

you could probaly get more hp without the jbp header you are running
im so tired of hearing this
One individual mysteriously loses 40whp on a JBP to a stock manifold. Give me a break dude... this forum needs to get real

Next time I go back to that same dyno, I'm going to ask the operator to change the settings so that I can dyno higher.

Science tells no lies

I'll stay ignorant until someone proves me otherwise
since when is a mustang anything like a cobalt?
also it's not the style of the header persay as much as the shoddy way it was fabbed all of the runners on the mustang look like they have a bit of straight section before getting a little noodly.. and a little being the operative word

It wasn't mine, it was a car I did an engine replacement on.
Possibly. I've had my fun with JBP crap, and you learn to see through the advertising and noise to realize the level of bullshit they throw at you.

lots and lots of bends, small primaries, multiple welds per runner (8 that i can count on just one runner alone), a very short collector, and an insane price given all of this.
You agreed with me on every point above...
As elecblue said, its not the style, so much as theirs specifically. While a lot of bends arent great for flow when compared to the linear long tubes available, they arent the biggest performance hindrance. Hell, Lamborghini uses noodle headers...they're just actually well made.

You quoted me... but it wasn't the header giving me those problems, ended up being a intake side issue at the time.
i agreed with you because it was a bitch to take off. Your an extremely hard headed individual, and it's easier just to agree w/ you.
You can continue applying your high school/college physics and quote all you like. This header is not as bad as it made out to be.
There were multiple batches made by JBP... what joe and USMC saw/had were the bad batch. My primaries are not kinked as seen in the first batch, and have clean welds.

Works fine for me, better than stock, sounds great. over all im happy w/ it

big issue with them is shoddy construction.. some have primaries rubbing causing excess vibration and knock among other things

yea, im a hard headed one. especially when evidence agrees with me. go dyno the jbp, then go dyno an actual header (midlength, long tube, tri Y, what have you), and i guarantee the jbp will perform the worst.

It's seeing 17 psi by 6500 rpm on the 3.4" pulley at the moment...
as of the moment nothing in the tune has changed asides from spark (turned meth off temporarily).
MAF seems to be dead on, I set it rich with the intention it would lean. But it's reading the commanded afr all the way thru wot... Seems the m62 2.7 setup is nearly identical to this blower on a 3.4" pulley.
more to come of course
