from what i understand the 2.4L w the procharger on a low boost number is making great power but again a dyno will show the real number.

Matt, that your posting up vids is all nice and dandy, but I have a strong feeling that things are gonna turn ugly if the balt isn't done soon.I mean honestly, you effed up pretty well with those piston rings....
In the meantime you might wanna think about how you're gonna get the car to SC if it isn't done by the 15th.we're not gonna be stuck without it for 3 years or more because of you

This is somthing that could get done in a pm but let me get you the low down really quick!

The specs for the pistons where not with the pistons so I measured as close as possible and order a set of oil rings just a shy to large. Also I have my car in the shop right now starting to fab up the turbo and thats another reason why I dont have the videos ready. The engine will be done before the 15th as I have everthing else done.

Also you can call me anytime day or night to check on it i dont mind and I understand your time constrants!

Nobodys getting f*** here! They are just on a major deadline and these engines are not like a honda. The parts are harder to get or are custom ordered! Anything like this is very time consuming and I do my best to get this stuff done as soon as I have the parts!

Im more then likly am not going to build to many more cobalts because of the parts issues I run into. I have built hondas and mitsubishi with all the parts in a weeks time but the ecotec seems to be the hardest motor to get parts for and even harder to get them in a resonable amount of time.

there is only a couple of things that are hard to get, the pistons take forever to get if you go with a custom bore. the pistons rings will have to be custom made if you go with a custom bore as well. everything else is pretty much off the shelf for these motors. if you order from diamond pistons and have them make you a custom bore expect 5-7 weeks at least, and thats if they get it right the first time.............so note to you cole go with a standard bore diameter and comp ratio.

or go with a piston company that is more responsible to not "lose" ur build sheet behind a deck on the floor and find it 4 weeks after the order

well than you risk having major delays in your build, for only 4 more cc's of displacement.

i'm looking for about the same, my build will be limited by my cams a bit, but i can always upgrade from here, ie larger compressor turbo, cams, equal length turbo manifold, and a few other things. thats the great thing about turbo setups you can always upgrade.

it's a nice setup, but not for me. it's much easier to setup than a turbo setup like mine.

i hope so. Angelo was saying that they might have to cut some of the front bumper away to make it fit

yah it does require a bit of modification, the compressor housing on those things is huge. it will sit right above and a bit forward of your motor mount.

so i should start a poll.
procharger vs turbo vs supercharger....
what are the main dis/adv of the turbo to pro?

does the setup use the s/c mani?

yes it can use the sc intake mani, but you would be better off switching to a hahn or saab or a 2.4l manifold. as far as main advantages disadvantages of each, that a long discussion and open to quite a bit of debate.
