i did do research....... this was the best turbo for what i aiming for with the money i had for turbo money. its also a good baseline turbo to start with... i dont want mad power, i just more than the sc can put out...... and paul made 380whp on the ebay version of this turbo w\o the hahn intake manifold and with a not working right fuel system\maf, on stock block....so this turbo puts me in the right place for NOW......i know how u feel about these turbos from some of your other post, but this was my best opp. for the money

you spent good money on all your other parts, getting the correct stuff, ect....

why chimp out now? if you were only looking for 400whp you could go smaller, still make the power and pick up a good chunk of torque as well.

If you not mind me asking so far how much have you spent ust on the turbo parts, not including the engine rebuild?

You are going to have one killer setup when you are finshed!

around $2500 but i still have 2 get bov, boost controller, make charge piping, and exhaust....but that price is with the hahn intake mainfold and the new equal lenght manifold

might wanna do that, on the log manifold, i had very little clearance between block and the wg, placement on this manifold could be critical. i'd say left side down by the flange would be a good spot, so your dump tube could be routed on the same side as the dp.

that 2 me would be the best place. it would make the exhaust work a ton easier. I sent them a message so we will see

the wastegate is being put on the left or driver side

nice man I dunno howI missed this thread before now.
Turbo should spool up a bit better than mine did on that setup (shitty ebay version, still stuck on shitty ebay modified turbo mani lol) I just emailed vulcan about that Tubular manifold myself. I'm moving soon so I will finally have some time (and a place) to work on my car for once lol.
and yes the car is still holding together, cept the clutch lol (only died 2 weeks ago though) still running 22 psi on pump gas, just haven't been driving it much for the last few weeks though.
Just make sure whoever builds your motor takes their time and does it right, I'm seeing too many "built" LSJ's blow up, and for some reason blowing out the cylinder walls.
can't wait to see how your car turns out man, should make 400whp pretty easily and keep some decent TQ numbers. I would have recommended a gt3071 or76 though as the spool times on those are rediculous. Just finished up with bigrolred's car with a gt3071 and it's spools a lot faster than mine (But I always catch em in the end lol)
I would also recommend the N2MB WOT box and 2-step and it keeps you from falling out of boost btwn shifts
