Transmission options

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a transmission shop that makes reputable transmission internals / swaps. I have heard of people switching over to a 3 speed automatic in these cars, but I can't seem to find the link. They also had the adapter sandwich plate to mount it up. Anyone recall this site, or know of any other site? I would prefer to keep it a manual transmission, but something close to durable is the number one goal. The best bet would be a shop that makes cryo treated spyder gears for the stock transmission. Any links or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Their is a 6 speed available bolt on but it's no stronger than stock. I think you best bet would be to send your tranny out to get cyo treated.

It has nothing to do with not knowing how to drive.

I'm just curious what a lot of people are doing to get them to hold up. It would be a pain to have to drop everything and replace it after only a couple of runs. I'm in the process of replace it now, and just want to put something in there that wont break as easily.

Nothing. There is a 6-Speed Swap option... it cost like $4k... its made by Quaife and the gears are a lot stronger... but it hasn't really been tested.

As far as the STRAIGHT DRAG RACING AUTOMATIC goes... I'll PM you the address... along with some questions about a DSM that I am looking at.
