Tuners input needed ASAP
I finally have the daily driver back together and my_bd and myself havea couple of issues such as the s/c boost bypass valve keeps opening and closing at idle. Perplexing.
Also the MAF sensor reading seem to be way too low. Any thoughts on the cause for this?We are running in VE and it runs much better than in MAF. At 3,000 rpms the car sounds great, no mise-fires, no codes.
Thanks,
Rod

Latest issue with the DD

While running in VE mode with the idle set to 1,000rpms, it idles quite well while in FTC 37 (evap closed?)
but
leans out severely as soon as it switches to FTC 17 (evap open?)
Any ideas??

Once the lower piece of the intake was switched around and the MAF was able to work properly the other issues corrected themselves.
We now have the job of tuning in the car and we are close to putting it on the road for a load test. Obviously the cams are adding another layer of complexity to tuning, especially when we already have to deal with the larger TB and the TVS.
my_bd and I have hooked up the wideband and Interceptor so I have some cleanup to do as well as throw on the tires and the hood.
Soon I will be back on the road in a SS

The DD definitely sounds like it wants to chew up the road
Too bad I don't know enough about the tuning part *yet* because I have to wait a bit as my tuner (my_bd) has a day job
My project car is 95% funded by me and the wife. I have minor sponsors which don't amount to anything significant. Although (hopefully), I may be able to get sponsors after the fact to help with racing costs.

Yeah, after I pay off the project car. The problem with good credit is a higher limit.

Yes it is a '06 SS/SC with all the possible bolt ons as well as a cams/P&P'ed head, pistons and a few other stronger internal parts to support the TVS blower.
This the car we have been working on this past couple of weeks. The rwd project car is still a few months away from being done.
The reason I look forward to having the DD on the road if to take my mind off of the project car as to well have some fun driving. Right now I am driving a 6.0l '01 Silverado and it isn't fun.
DAM
