1st gen projector LED's.. Blinking?? help!

So I got my 1st gen projectors yesterday that I ordered from another member. One of the lights (passenger side) was wired up already. I wired up the driver's side. All halo's and LED's work. But the LED's on the passenger side like to blink really fast. Kinda like a strobing affect. But its not all the time. Its most of the time but every now and then when I turn the lights on they are solid. No blinking or anything. Then randomly, they'll begin blinking real fast... It's crazy. I've already replaced and checked all the connections.. Even swapped out the resistor and nothing seemed to work..

Any ideas???

Oh, and the cut-off on the 1st gen's are 100000% better than it is on the 2nd. I love it..

Thanks!

on the power wire you need to put a 680 ohm resistor into the line to compensate for the lack of current the LED's are drawing

are you sure that'll do it? Power wire to the LEDs i am assuming? Do you know the color code for the 680 ohm resistor?

I have a brown, green, brown, gold resistor on now..

That should be a 150 ohm. Looks like I need to up it a little.

yes definitly since those are 3 leds.... i think that the 680 ohm shouldd be sufice for all 3 but its a start and my math is shaky this late haha

So it sounds like a resistor problem with the flashing and strobing of the 3 LED's? Even tho it doesn't do it 100% of the time? Does it about 90% of the time tho..

id say so.. its a cheap try if it doesnt fix it tho...but that ohmage doesnt sound right if it indeed is 150 .. a minimum of 680 per led would be the ideal situation

i have a red ss/sc and today (first day i've had them in) one of my buddies had two of those LED clusters that fit nicely into your turn signal where the amber bulbs go. His were red. I put them in to see how they'd look. They make the turn signal blink fast as ****. it looks cool, but it's illegal. well, so is strobing LED's... hope to have that fixed tho.. hah
