I want to do something similar to this

I would just have 3 across the bottom.. if behind the insert is solid ,could i just drimmil the middle bars out of the inserts

and the thin piece of bumper behind it so that it is open?

*Neither of these cars are mine. I hope the owners don't mind me using them as examples.

I believe Biohazard removed his bottom center one and added a grill and foglights.

And someone floated around where he took out every grille and it looked like trash, but I dont think he ever made an apperance here again.

i dont think theyre inserts....i think they took a dremmel and cut em off...
as for whats behind em, theres nothing behind em except the radiator...

maybe some mesh wiring (chicken wire..) could cover up the areas once you tear em out...that prolly wouldnt look too bad

The original RK Sport Cobalt is an LS with the lower three sections removed and their front lip attached. I'll find the pic, hold on.

http://www.rksport.com

It's hard to see from the picture, but they simply removed the OEM parts and put in black mesh.

ya, ya grille, ya ya ya grille. I might do that one top grille mod. Spraying the orange color I have is an art though. That metallic pearl is hard, even the body man says. But I might also take that last chevy embelem off the front, That would look sweet. As far as those other mods, kinda chincy.
