I have 3rd gens, Ive has them for about 3 months and have had no problems at all. Although I've heard the heat from the halogen lights crack the lens so I put the stock lights in for the winter and until I get an HID kit for the projectors.

You should be. HID bulbs run cooler then halogen lights. So they shouldn't cause the lens to crack.

features like bixenon bulbs, which are basically 2 bulbs in one, other than that i have no idea for the extra cost. my friend has had the ebay kit for a few months now and still working. i actually ordered a set myself for my 1st gen projos. i still havent had any problem with them

very nice. ya i think that'll be a next year mod for me possibly. i'll still have to do some more looking into it. but i'm pretty sure everyone i've talked to that hasn't had problems had HID's wit their projos.

I've had these for months, no issues, and eBay HIDs in the lowbeams and fogs with no issues either.

Yes you can buy projectors with or without HID units, if you get the ones with regular bulbs you can add an HID kit later.

Here's a couple of threads to help you out:
