50 watt ballasts and 3rd gen. projectors

Does anyone know if running 50 watt ballasts in 3rd gen. projectors would be safe? Could the projectors hold up to the extra heat produced by the bulbs??

It's not so much the projectors themselves, but more so the wiring in your car. I don't remember exactly the wattage specified for halogens, but that is what you'll have to go by unless you rewire the whole circuit for your headlights.

Also... you mention ballasts, so I'm thinking HID xenon bulbs... FYI, those actually run cooler than halogens.

I did a quick search and it looks like the stock draw is 55 watts.
