okay, i have a crack on my lower rear bumper and i was thinkin is it better to repaint the whole thing or paint that part after its fixed, i went to my body shop guy and he said he will fix it and repaint the whole thing for $300, than i went to maaco and he said he will fix it and repaint the fixed area to go with the paint thats on it for $500, also i asked maaco and they say that its better to just paint that part instead of the whole thing because factory paint is better than any paint because they can bake it at a VERY hi tempture because the car is stripped

so what do i do???

i would go with a repaint of just the bumper... should be able to color match it exactly but its totally up to you

Look at other work he's done to get an idea of his work.

He's just painting the bumper. I had a new fascia painted for $150 plus paint.

 

i would go with getting the whole bumper repaired and painted. If you took care of your paint with wash and wax regulary it should match with no probems. ****, i get custom mixed color mathed paint at my local auto body supply shop and its magic.

 

that sounds like something an idiot at maaco would say.

go somewhere where they use sikkens, or house of colors. gm paint is the CHEAPEST p.o.s. paint i've ever seen

 

factory paint is better than any paint HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA .Comparing maaco to a real paint shop should be a sin. 300 is a fair price 500 is a joke since maaco paint whole cars here for 499.00
