Cars white.

What kind of paint and Sandpaper? I am painting the stock rims so I assume there is clear coat already on them?

This is what the sandpaper is for.

You will also need some paper towels or a rag to wipe off the wheels after sanding them.

Also, please take the tires off and clean the wheels thoroughly before painting. That means clean the inside too, you will thank yourself later.

Black...and white.. no really.. lol any other variations are up to you.. (gloss blk, super white, sparkling white bla bla bla...) or you could jus go to Autozone an buy the duplicolor GM color matching colors...

Wet sand to get all the 'clear' off and all the finish off the rims first, then keep sanding till its all smooth, an then sand with a finer grit.
There's a How-to floatin around on here somewhere...
wipe them off with water/alcohol(not Jack Daniels)
Prime them first with..primer
sand w/ the fine grit after the prime...
block off what you're gonna paint first
spray... sand...spray..sand.. spray..sand.. 2 coats clear.. an then hit the strip club up...
then next day, tape off what you're not gonna paint again, and repeat said steps with other color.. including strip club
^^in that order^^

an enjoy

Just bought 4 cans of Rust Check / Rust Paint Black and 2 white +2 Dupli Color - High Performance Wheel Coating and 2 grit sandpaper.

The paint says I don't need to prime, I just apply so I assume their is primer already in it.

I wish their was a video floating around! Would be much easier.

all i can really say is... jus make sure your blk is done drying all the way before you decide to tape it off... or vice versa...

its easy, just sand it all over so you get rid of the clear coat. it should look really scratched up. then tape off whatever and start painting. make sure you give plenty of time to dry. id also pick up a can of clear coat to protect the paint when your done.

if you dont have an idea what you're doing, find someone that does. Im not trying to be mean, just it's real easy to mess up. I've painted mine twice already, and both have come out looking professional. (I just did mine today gold, I posted a thread). I spent about 5 hours, but yours will take way longer due to the fact that you're doing two colors. You have to let each color dry COMPLETELY before taping it off, or it will look shitty.

*Take the time to do it right.*

just to allow complete drying and adhesion before you tape. i painted my door bezels last night, after an hour drying, when i tried to install them, the paint let go and i had to redo it.

When you're done painting, I'd remove the masking tape ASAP allowing the paint to bond though
