I don think they came out bad, but I see what everybody's talkin bout with the blk on the center caps...
Really, as long as you like em, you're good.. you'll really have to see how it looks on the car before you like em or not..

It took me maybe 3 hours to do my headlights today. I did 5 coats of Primer Black, 6 Coats of Color and 6 coats of Duplicolor High Gloss Clear Coat. There is a little bit of a texture because I didn't lay it on extremely thick on the final coat. What they mean is don't rush the job by short cutting the drying time between coats. I won't rattle can a rim, I had mine powder coated. As long as you like it that's all that matters.
i have pics of mine on my car(on page 2).i used plastidip and didnt do the best taping job on each wheel. and u have to get really close to see its not completely straight or whatever but from a distance where everyone sees it. u cant even tell
well i can garutee the finish on these are not going to be the best without a bunch of wetseanding and a good clear coat, the white paint is dripping down the inside of the rim, which would of course indicate runs in your paint, and you say you took your time masking the rims off, but then why do you have over spray all over the inside of yoiur rims, and all over your rubber...gotta learn the definittion of taking your time dude....nice effort tho
and you really shoulda sprayed those center caps/

all we want is for your stuff to come out looking super nice, not just ok. does that make sense.
just because we haven't done rims doesn't mean we don't know what we're talking about, it took me a week to do my headlights and 3/4 of that was prep, all of my trim and engine bay stuff same thing, prep and proper masking of area's is key to a good final product.

That's madness.. Did you do em for like 20 minutes a day with 3 dif colors?
Na I'm all about takin your time, but in the end, if you're gonna do it yourself, as long as you like it, you're good
no i sanded down all the chrome, filler primed it, sanded again, filler primed, sanded, painted (5 coats), cleared with 3 and then painted the housing as well. (this was also done all in my spare time ontop of 2 jobs lol)
Doing two colors on a rim is a lot trickier than you think, especially when it comes to lines. I think Rims are probably the hardest thing to paint on a car and painting the rims black and white easily shows defects. Considering there are only a few things like paint running down inside the rim and a few lines that are not 100% .. I am proud of myself.
Anywho, I think I am going to start doing clear coat soon!! And boy do these rims looks nice beside my car =)
