hate to sound redundant, but as stated, rushing a paint job is the Number 1 way to ruin your project.

hey jus a word of advice... cuz i did the same thing when i first painted some ****...
it doesn't look bad(I jus got an eye for detail, an well... im kind of a jerk )
but put more tape down than you need, an then use an exacto knife or somethin to trim it down, it comes out a lot cleaner

Looks pretty good so far. just to be safed i'd honestly give it like a full 24 hours to dry before taping the black to put the white down.

wtf happened. Your tires are covered in paint, the lines are totally skewed.
Listen to mastashake if I was you I would start over

When you do the white please dont overspray on the tires lol get good clean lines also, you may save them.

you should have masked off everything not just the rim but the tire too.

I had a few in me last night from St Patties Day

Haha but yea, its kinda chilly outside so I think its going to take longer to dry, I am giving it 36-48 hours to dry and then I am going to tape it off again being extra careful.

I didn't really care enough to block off the tires, as the tire paint just comes off easily.

I used about 1.5 cans of black for all 4. Only like 2.5 layers man, I didn't put down any primer as the can says "no primer needed" I don't think its too much .

lol, you got some skewed lines, getting black paint on the tires doesn't matter it'll eventually come off or you can scrape to off. I hope that paint can hold high temperatures btw, I used engine enamel for my wheels.

primer is best to fill in scratches, im surprised you used 400 grit, I would have gotten 600.

Its Rust Paint, and it says it has outstanding adhesion.. so I hope so! If not I can just sand everything down again and redo it.

I am going to take the black paint off really carefully when I put the white coating on.. hopefully it turns out good .

Hey thanks man, took me forever to tape it this time. I gotta take the paint off the inside of the rim (some white paint dripped), paint the centre piece white and gold (bowties going to be gold) and then eventually clear coat in all of it and of course, clean tires :P.

I think closer shots need to be seen to determine if they turned out good or not.
